Tank Specifications

- 125 acrylic tank w/ overflow box in rear right.
- Filtration: Sump w/ bioballs for biological filtration
- Water returns through two 3/4" pvc pipes through the bottom of the tank on both ends
- Lighting: (3) 275 Watt hanging pendant halogen lamps, each their own timer. (i will be putting brand new bulbs in these)
- C02 reactor using a venturi valve, bubble counter and small mixing chamber w/ bioballs
- Activated carbon filter as well.
- Mechanical/sponge filter place in front of pump intakes in sump.

I gave away all my original plants before moving so i'll be starting completely from scratch plant wise.

One of the problems i have had in the past is the tank deteriorating after several years of operation.. most likely due to the gravel getting all mucked up w/ dirt/crap and loss of nutrients. during the first few years the tanks was algea free and the plants grew like crazy. then slowly algae growing over everything became more and more of a problem.

After years of procrastination, i'm retooling and restarting up my 125 gallon freshwater tank. Below is what it looked like before it was dismantled when i moved from Virginia to Idaho.
